I shot this a couple of months back, and never got around to posting it. I didn't like the dynamic range as the foreground was too dark and lacked detail. But I was fooling around with Picassa, and tried the graduated tint feature, and was able to adjust the picture so it works a little better. I was going for a "vivid" look to this hence the wild colouring.Do you guys think this works, or is it overdone? Cheers.......thekman.

Works for me. It is almost 2 photos in one, the sunrise and the morning mist. I will put it in the 'wish I was there' catagory.
All the best,

Works for me too! I have used Picasa to perk up a shot or two myself! I think that sky would have been cool even with a dark foreground. Good work K!

Looks good to me, although the sunset maybe looks a little orange ?

Just out of interest what did the original look like?

John.

Wish I'd saved the original, but no, I didn't. Shot it in raw, and to save disc space deleted it after pp. I increased the saturation, and boosted the blue channel if I remember correctly. It was quite an orange sky that morning with a real contrast of blue. Cheers........thekman.

I like it. The mist brightens up the foreground quite nicely.
