winter photos

Taken today. Not too much adjustments, just cropped and resized in Photoshop. The second one has also a little changed colors (it had wrong white balance). Any comments and suggestions are welcome.

This one was shot through car glass, so it's may be a little out of focus

Nice shots Boh. I like the first one best. Keep up the good work.

I like the first one best. Something about the white snow and the color of the sky make it seem...inviting or otherworldly.

In spite of being shot through the car windshield, the first one is pretty good. Perhaps crop out the road off to the right at the bottom of the picture as it unbalances the photo. In the second one, the unlevel horizon bothers me, but overall a nice shot.

Thanks for replies.
ohenry: I thought about cropping first one more, but it'd cut the trunk of the tree on the left, so I decided to left it as is. As for the second: now it's changed, I made some adjustments.

Guess the only thing left is to petition the DOT for a fix on that offending road  (kidding, of course).

Yes, I think the 2nd one works better after your fix.

I had the same thought about the road, but petitioning the DOT is not quite the only thing that can be done; with all apologies to BOH, "where cropping doth not avail, try cloning":

(I do not know BOH personally, so I hope he/she understands this was done in good humor--no intent to offend).

I also think the road detracts in the 1st shot. The picture itself has a stark quality that is very good. I liked the second (didn't even see the horizon level off) what caught my eye were the power lines, those I would clone out. Also a good shot.

Thanks all.

Norm: no offend taken. But I'm not very good in cloning or other more advanced things in Photoshop. I'm beginner in this so for now I can adjust colors, crop and do few other easy things :). But what you did to my photo looks really good. I think you could try to also clone out this car ;).

Cloning power lines should be easy, I'll try to do this.

Removed power lines form the second one
