hello..
here's a shot i took last winter at a reservior, that got frozen over most of the reservior... so me and my friend (lol...breaking rules :-...lol) walked out there... and got a couple shots...i liked the pattern of the windblown snow.. and the sun was great.. what do you think? any tips? btw...new framing technique....distracting? (aw man..a bit big...press "F11" for full view...) Vito |

Very nice. With a photo like this, it makes you love winter. Still 3 months to wait. And thanks for your "F-11" tip. After all those years working with computer i didn't know that one.:-)

![]() here's another one....taken at a park down the street from my house (it goes behind my house too....it's a nice big park...) i thought the frozen/non frozen water designs were really cool.... what do you think? i made it b/w, because it had a blue tint in the color version....like, not cold blue..but strronnng blue tint.. i also converted to b/w twice, one for the sky, and one for the foreground...and masked the sky layer... enjoy ![]() Vito |

Okay the first one is really beaufitul and serene but I find th frame way distracting for my ADHD eye's. Your name in particular doesn't let me enjoy the photo to it's full extent.
The second one is really great. |

it's a fake simple black "frame"...with matte...it was just a test...i'm not sure i like it yet....it might look better on a white background glad you like the shots though ![]() Vito *EDIT* peter...you posted while i was typing! lol sry bout that ![]() |

The second shot just doesn't look right to me but I can't put my finger on exactly what it is. I think it's the light/dark area in the background, but not sure. Anyway, just doesn't catch my eye. The composition is fine, just seems bland. <shrug>
