Cool photo. Very interesting ... don't think I would have thought to look down and take it.

A very delicate looking plant, shot is enhanced by the great use of DOF. I like it, great shot.....well done!

Hello Mdparker, Maff, sassalyn, joshuab & brtsergio :)

Thanks much for your kind responses :)

Here is a lil bit more about the photo...

It was actually taken at shoulder level...

Of the wisp from the top of some tall, pampas (?) grass...

To quote Jim Lovell (Tom Hanks) from the film Apollo 13, I
"floated with gimbel lock" (focus lock) for a couple
of minutes...

I must have done a focus lock at least 25-30 times
until I "caught" the wisp...the number of tries no doubt a limitation of the photographer and not the camera! Ha, ha.

DOF chosen was, of course, intentional :)

Now you five "forumeers" (hmmm.....rhymes with pioneers...hmmm :) ) know the "rest of the story".

DOF? i'm not sure wat that is.....nice picture though....love how you got the tan in the background... :D

Hi photosbyvito__

DOF is depth of field.

Go here (Steve's digicam dictionary)

http://www.steves-digicams.com/digi_dictionary.html

Choose letter D.

There is an excellent, in-depth discussion of depth of field
there.
