Hubbard Glacier during a brief brightening of the weather..





In port at Juneau. We had lots of beautiful cloud formations in Alaska, mostly in the mid-afternoon.

Nice couple of shots there observerguy. It looks like conditions were difficult for photography - both shots have blown highs and black lows, the lows more in the second shot. Maybe a bit of post processing would help. Hope you don't mind me saying... Lovely blue colour on the berg tho

The wonders of Photoshop mate! Levels, selective colour editing, dodge & burn (first time i've tried with those!), masking etc. I've only had PS for a short while and i've a lot to learn but it's opening a whole new world for me and my basic photography knowledge. That said, nothing beats getting it right in the camera..
