Hiking photo near The Basin in New Hampshire. Just wondering how people feel about the composition.

Thanx,
Ray

Beautiful image, Ray!The flow of the water isnicely captured due to a relatively slow shutter speed. The blurry leaves in the foregroung gives a very good DOF effect and they are placed just right. However, though its tones are quite a match for the rocks behind, I found the thick branch barring the view crosswise rather annoying!!

Seems your a610has proved to bea good companion for you during the hike

Nice shot, Ray! Very relaxing ... reminds me of a vacation 2years ago in Ireland at the Killarney National Park. However, I would have to tend to agree with Bahadir. The log is a little distracting from the frame & I think it drew some of the camera's focus where more could have been on the fall. Looks like you had a good hike with scenery such as this though!

Thank you Bahadır it seems to be the popular concensus is the broken tree is intrusive. I will keep that in mind and yes the A610 does a great job. It is a huge improvement over my Minolta S414!
