it's 2-3 weeks yet till the colors peak here. but i managed this shot of the leaves changing on a hillside in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains. this was resized and sharpened, but no changes were made to the colors... the vine maples really are that brilliant red...

Beautiful vivid colours brought together tastefully in a natural setting..I'd definitely like to see more of the location with your composition

thanks, Bahadir... here area couple moreshots of that area. there was a wildfire there a number of years ago, as you can tell, and the trees have not yet recovered, but the shrubs and vine maples are coming back quite nicely, and put on quite a display this time of year...

a shot across the Wenatchee River... you can clearly see the damage from the fire, but the splashes of brilliant color lend an almost surreal effect in contrast to the blackened trunks...

and this last one, a few miles up the road... the aspens are turning gold...

The Pacific Northwest is such a nice area, I would love to go there sometime. Don't quite have scenery like that here in Missouri.

Those pictures are making me look forward to the rest of Fall.

Bahadir,
as an old saying goes, "when one door closes, another opens"... the devastation caused by the fires is terrible, but the new life that springs up where the old passed away is often as lovely as the original, if not more so. in these photos, the blackened snags serve as a stark counterpoint to the brilliant colors, and also as a warning and reminder of how transient that beauty is and how easily it can be destroyed... tends to make me appreciate that beauty even more!
