It's been looking a lot like this lately, summer is certainly over now

Same view, less zoom, and constantly changing light:

Hi John,

Both great shots, though I especially love the 2nd photo. The layers of clouds and composition and colours work very well in this portrait orientation.

thanks for sharing... shame your summer is over. Here in Romania summer is also over (though in Greece it's still like summer where I was for honeymoon until 10 days ago!)

Thanks Paul!

I suspect it's always summer in Greece: at least compared to here :G

I'll agree with Paul. Less zoom, more of beautiful geography:cool:

John, of COURSE you do have nice summers... those 3 days in the middle of July usually aren't too bad! :blah:

Sorry John... I couldn't resist that! (I lived in the UK for 6 years some years ago....)

Actually I heard this year was a bumper UK summer. I was even able to watch people sunbaking in Hyde Park in MAY when I was there.. .so..

But anyway, back to the pix... Well done (as said b4!)

Nice captures; those clouds look heavy.(low) send them our way, (Australia) we are having one of our worst droughts ever.

John Maddock Oct 24, 2006 2:19 PM

Thanks for the comments guys.

Steve: if you have a drought now, then I dread to think what it's going to be like by the end of your summer, which surely can only just be starting now?

John.
