hi all

here is a black n white from today, this is the way i like my black n whites tolook, just not sure if it looks better with or without the brightness of the sun, did think of leveling the horizon too but thats the way it is... still it may look better level!

Gary

Unusually great B&W works, Gary! My favourite one is the first one. Maybe a littlePPto reduce the 'very bright' could even enhance it.

Hello! Just one question, to which extent did you use photoshop (or similar editor)?

Great result, I donĀ“t see black and white pictures like yours everyday

thanks for coments everyone allways so kind :-)

its not a straight forward black n white conversion, roughly what i did is this, i took 2 shots, one exposed for sky and one exposed for the road, these are then blened together in photoshop and curves and levels adjusted till i like the result. then on a new adjustment layer i made the image monochrome with channel mixer, moving sliders till i liked the result, i think i duplicted this layer too to get a more dramtic effect.

Very nice. I prefer the 2nd one, and I would level the horizon.

HiG, I really love the pics , you 've reallyseen them, in "b & w" , and the skys are very dramatic, i seethe comment fromOLLIE as to correcting the Horizon, OLLIE, if you could see the terrain in which these where taken this is a thankless task!!, every road may lead to Rome but boy do they twist and turn!!
