Default Whistler Village BC Canada.

Ok I just got back from whistler/blackcomb area.

Not the greatest of shots but I like em.

Need info on what I can do to make them better or perhaps advice when shooting landscapes.

Here is Whistler mountain its self, I was standing on Blackcomb

Oh and this one is of Shannon Falls which is just off of the Sea to Sky Hwy up to Whistler Village.

Advice welcomed!

I hope to get better, and also to start taking people pictures.

The waterfall looks quite good actually so I'm inclined not to do anything maybe except a nice frame. Your call.

For the first one of the village. I quickly tried a few things, first sharpened the image a bit then lightened it and finally, added a touch of green. You might not like the somwhat fake greening but I think a bit more patience and working with the original picture would be a bit easier and more rewarding.

For the mountain I simple lightened it a bit to give the snow caps a bit more punch.

Good luck. I used Photoshop elements.

I like what you did with the mountain shot. Very nice. I thought the origional was good, I like yours even more.

I like the waterfall, but I almost wonder if a slightly faster shutter speed would have helped. The way the water is spraying out on the sides, over the black rock, it causes the rocks to look lighter... have a tint of white to them. I found this a little odd. Of course, maybe if you did it that way I'd find I like this one better. I don't know. I just found myself looking at the rocks going "what is going on there..." I think the framing is very well done and I like the picture in general.
