It's good shot, for sure. I find it a little troubling, which makes it more memorable. The neatly-tended old house, with nicely-trimmed hedges, and then that limb lying there by the tree, like the remains of an unexplained mishap.

The picture would be much less interesting without that limb. Good eye.

Great title! These kind of photos just have something about them, that porch looks like such a nice place to sit on a summer evening. Great work Donna!

I was trying to give it a, as someone said, "disturbing tone" with the tree...but truth be told, it has been a very happy place and hosted many family get togethers. Donna

I think it's the b/w or sepia which gives it the mysterious or troubling cast. The house itself looks very inviting. Color would have been beautiful, but would not have captured those extra dimensions. In my humble opinion, it's a great shot!!

Nice, stark photo. I like the moderate W/A approach. Looks like a movie still. Well done. Like the gingerbread lattice work under the house's roof.
