Taken December 23 2006. It had rained - light freezing rain - most of the night and when I woke up Saturday morning everything was shrouded in mist. So I went for a drive and the rest, as they say, is history.....:G Cheers, Dan

I especially liked your first shot! Very eye pleasing composition there, nicely accompanied by your fitting words, reminding me some lines from'Dream Land' by Poe:
There the traveller meets aghast
Sheeted Memories of the Past —
Shrouded forms that start and sigh
As they pass the wanderer by ...
Thanks for sharing these images from the personal(his)tory of yours

Terrific, the barn shot is very serene. But the boardwalk shot is fantastic. I kept straining to see what's at the other end. Excellent job of involving the viewer.
Great work Dan.

The barn shot hit me immediately, with an emotional reaction of nostalgia. Then I realized why. It is almost exactly an image I saw once as a very young boy back in Iowa.

It looked magical at the time, and it still does. Thanks for bringing that moment back for me.
