Default First nightshot, comments?

This is the city I live in. No exciting high-rises or anything, but any tips on how to improve would be great.

Firstly, for a beginner's night shot a heck of a lot better than my first.

Personally, I think 30 secs exposure could have been cut back a tad. Some of the lights in the distance started to merge together. I not sure that's what you wanted.

Because of the very long exposure you can see some of the digital noise in the original shot. This all but disappears when the shot is resized.

There is something magical about a hilltop above a
big city with shimmering lights.

Great pic under tough conditions
