Grebes are such nice birds, diving for food and staying under water for quite some time. But now it´s time for rest. Meditative...

Yes, I can't quite figure out why, but it says "calm." Perhaps the hint of sunset in the water, or the gentle colors with the sharpness of the detail in the waves and profile.

Very nice capture, deceptively simple, but precise in its effect.

Interestingly I thought this one was a failure, and nearly deleted in camera..... just shows you never can tell until you get home!

Very nice John...I think it is restful because it it not such a "detailed" shot, not busy...and you can easily focus on the duck and the water, always a relaxing element.
