During this weekend's storm that moved up the Eastern seaboard, the rain stopped long enough for a very cold stroll along a deserted beachfrontBoardwalk.

I think that both these shots could be improved by running through some npise reduction software, I'm assuming you used a high ISO resultingin excess grain? It may be worth having another crack using a lower ISO and a tripod.

Good suggestion. I have run both through noise reduction, with some improvement. Both were shot with fairly high shutter times at ISO 1600 with a Fuji s6000fd. Unfortunately, a re-shoot won't be possible since the beach is now again a thousand miles away, lol.
