Oh yea!! Have a very similar picture from the same waterfall at Clifty Falls. Only it was in the celluloid era! Nicely done.

Thanks for the complements. BTW, what do you mean by "celluliod" era?

LOL. I didn't get that obviously. BTW, when you were there did they have the majority of the area around clifty falls blocked off? The closest one can get now to it is on the platform/deck area. You can no longer go up from trail 2 to the top of the canyon, neither can you go down to the pool area infront of the falls.

no...actually I have a pic of me sitting on the level"platform" on the waterfall you took the picture of. Right where the water is rolling off the edge. We were able to venture out pretty much everywhere. Im hoping this blockade is temp. I was planning on taking my boys down that way to do some"exploring".

Little Clifty falls, is not blocked at all but Clifty falls has big signs saying: "No hikers beyond this line..." around the area were you can go to the deck and at the end of the deck again, you see a sign like this. It looks like stairs use to exist here but have now been replaced with the sign.

If you look at the picture the rocks in the bottom middle of the image are fresh. You can see where they likely fell from the cliffs 80 feet or so above. I think this is why they have closed the area past the deck. I was a bit dissapointed. I also found pictures on the web that showed that this deck did not used to have the blocked off area and the sign just last year. The following like is to a picture on flickr (not mine). Notice the open area behind the person? This area is now borded up and has a no hiker beyond this line sign. http://www.flickr.com/photos/g_caparella/208136855/

Also, all the maps now say off trail hiking is illegal and not permitted. I even emailed the Indiana DNR and asked for off trail permisson to go to the waterfalls (specifically to go up to the bottom of tunnel and hoffman falls). I was not successful in obtainning permission. They site falling rocks and nature preservation as reason to stay on trail, in addition to it being illegal now.
