Hi,

My wife and I are getting ready for a trip to Yellowstone NP and the surrounding areas. I was wondering if anyone out there has any tips on capturing Old Faithful (or any other geyser for that matter) With out blowing the highlights in the steam too badly.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Old Faithful goes for a while, so you can shoot in RAW multiple times. They sell postcards and slides at the Lodge, too. :-)

Exposure auto-bracketing - which I suspect the ever-knowledgeable JDar is implying in his response - and also spot metering are bound to get you some keepers, I would think.

We would all love to see the results!
