Hi Guys,

This is a repost of the following image:

http://forums.steves-digicams.com/fo...amp;forum_id=8

After taking on board comments i have tried to improve the merge between the sky and the foreground:

Please let me know what you think.

Btw, i get my camera back today! :|
Thanks,

Matt

The clouds look more a part of the scene rather than punched up as in the original. I like this version better.

Happy day to get your camera back--I'm looking forward to some of your HDR work.

Yes, that's even better! Striking image without question:cool:

Still, I'd suggest you apply some 'burn tool' or sth like that on the grass to fit the dramatic clouds colourwise, and thus avoidletting any distracting element to steal from the glory of this image; ) Ah, that's my opinion, of course, for any possible improvement, btw.Your pic.still remains a noticableone without it!

Thanks for the comments guys, very glad for the assistance!

Bahadir, i know what you mean with re: the foreground, it is pretty vivid and i was unsure as to whether or not i should darken it a bit but in the end i kind of liked the opposing values of the green grass and the purple sky. Anyway, i've decided to leave my old shots alone now and to start shooting some fresh material!

Hercules, with regards the thumbnail, i use the following website to host my images:

http://www.yourpix.org/

It's a really good site that has no limit on picture size you upload, i think they have to be jpegs though. After uploading you can generate links to your picture. To help maintain bandwidth they request that you link to a thumbnail as opposed to the full image, so that's why i use thumbs!

Hope this helps!

Matt
