Those storms in mountainous areas can be spectacular, as you well show. That's a genuine run-for-cover storm in the first shot. Have you encountered any of the poisonous toads that are now more frequently seen due to all the rains?

I simply appliedsome filter and a little highlight adjustment to see more of the formation Iwatchedin a feeling of awe in your original : ) Hope you don't mind..

Thanks for the comments.
JDar, I have not seen any of the poisonous toads, I really wouldn't know what they look like, but I know what your talking about. I think that mostly dog owners that live in the outlying parts of town(read as "desert areas") need to worry about them. The dogs eat them and get sick, or dead.

bahadir, I did some shadow/highlight work on the original shot, but your adjustment seem to really make the clouds stand out more. Thanks!

We are having a really active monsoon season this year, and for anyone that has never experienced them, they are pretty exciting. Everyone in this area loves this time of year. You watch them build all day in the 100+ degree heat, then around sunset they roll in with astonishing power and tear up the town, and after they are gone, it's 75-80 degrees outside. Really takes the edge off hot and humid days.
