Can you think of a good reason why people like watching these engines at work..?

Even when they are asleep like in this shot...

Canon S70; f/6.3; 1/1000; Iso:50; spot metering

One thing is the machines have such power but can be operated with skill which belies the power. Delicacy isn't the right word for it, but there can be a grace in motion with a good operator.

Another good reason related with power! So, if I got it right, watchingthe working of theseturbo charged monsters,it is the skillful controlling of the powerwhich causes an aesthetical pleasurein the observer!

Interesting shot. Has a science fiction feel to it, ATTACK OF THE EXCAVATORS. I particularly like the yellows against the blue sky backdrop. Good eye!!

Very nice shot bahadir, nice use of colour, my friend operates one of these, he seems to make it talk.

Ya lot's of POWER, that is what i had in my big yard to rip the orange trees right out except it was red and not Hyundai, nice shot
