Inspiring image, Barbarian

The title and the Chinese proverb reminded me a saying by Nietzche asserting that the higher the leaves and branches of a tree ascend into the sky, the deeper its roots go down into darkness:!:

The Barbarian,

"... the lotus rises from the mud, but does not smell of it." - Chinese Proverb

Eastern pilosophy at it´s best, reminder of the dialectics of nature. Suddenly the water boils. Leap to quality

Trouble though: what, who makes the evaluation

Why is mental suffering "worse" than the opposite. How come whe think that a flower is more beautiful than a patch of mud

Can we turn it upside down, inside out

Great Nietzsche quotation, bahadir. One of the world´s greatest thinkers and foremost one of the greatest moustasches :-) He sure kew what he was talking about

Some entertainment

John Doe: "Nietzsche, thinker? Really? I thought he was the one with the enormous moustasche, wasn´t he?"

"What doesn´t deserve a good laugh doesn´t deserve our deepest consideration"
Contemporary Swedish philosopher and photographer wannabe
