Default Berkshire ski area

This topic was inspired by tkmckay's sunrise over Calgary pics. His pictures are so good they look surreal. That's how I felt about this picture of the base area in Berkshire East in Charlemont, Massachusetts last from last winter. I can't believe it's not a painting.

This was taken by Jeremy Clark, a Berkshire East employee, one morning after a big snow dump.

It does look like a painting (something that might appear on a Christmas card). Very pretty winter scene

I'd clone out the line (cable?) in the top right hand corner though.

Thats exactly the first thing that popped into my head when I looked at the picture before seeing what you wrote! :P That is an amazing picture, I love it. Maybe a nice winter investment for myself will be a pair of snow shoes so I can get into some of the areas I like to take pictures of in winter! Thanks for sharing it with the rest of us!

Thanks for posting that picture Josh. I took it with a Sony Mavica at 1.4MP, about ready for a newer camera.

Joshua,

After looking at your picture, these last few days I've been trying to remember which painter(s) used to do snow scenes like that. It just popped into my head, "Currier and Ives".
Actually I think it's even better than their paintings. But then again this is coming from someone who doesn't have to worry about snow at home.
