All weather pitch "An outdoor sports facility available 'whatever the weather.... " Yes, whatever the weather. It´s used in heavy rain and in snow.

The main arena. Name Slottskogsvallen. Quite a few world records were broken here, mainly in the 40ies (1500 meters)

That last, with a blush of color on the clouds, is very nice. BTW, is that first shot what the British call an "all-weather pitch?"

I have added some pieces of text to the first pictures.

Torgny

The name is Slottsskogsvallen.

Slott
Skog
Vall

Castle
Woods
Pasture

Quite a beautiful name for a world record arena. BTW Swedish is one of the few languages that can chain words together endlessly. Like long, long trains with many wagons

Sadly, but of course not surprising, most spelling correctors in word processing get a red underlining. Have to work on it. Well, the people who write the programs simply haven´t got enough words in their vocabulary. Have to work on it

Some language philosophy has it that reading a word is not looking at letters forming words, it is more like looking at a picture (picture theory of meaning) but this is not the place to go further up these mountains

Thanks for the attention
