I am following this with interest, as the happy possessor of a much smaller & vulnerable sensor than most of you (Kodak Z712is, not dSLR). I have occasionally experimented with PSP noise reduction and trial NeatImage.

Of special interest to me (as a retired scientific experimenter, still tinkering in the 'darkroom'), will be exactly what settings were found satisfactory. As in my former professional life, proper experimental design involves too many experiments to be practical. Inspired guesswork, preferably done by the devoted labourings of others, leads communally to quicker answers, over this and more important issues.
