Default Fountain downtown



I tried to hold it still.............I'll be buying a tripod this weekend. I missed some real good shots without one last night. :x

Been there done that - no tripod and looking for somewhere to prop the camera.

The shot does have a sort of surreal effect to it tho.

Goofas,

Here is recent trio of pics of a lighted fountain in Honolulu to give you some idea of what the impact on the output is for

Handheld


Tripod



and Tripod with color correction for tungsten lights. This is closer to what the fountain actually looks like at night.



The comparisons are not 100 valid because the wind was blowing like crazy at times and passing cars sometimes added extra lighting, but I think you can see the differences. But in some perverse way the handheld uncorrected picture looks good and may even be better than the others.

So - don't toss out that shot.
