I went to the wildlife sanctuary late in the afternoon. I just wanted a walk, and didn't really expect to find any wildlife this late in the day to photo....but the light was interesting in this very wooded and bushy area. Here's 3 shots I thought maybe interesting. I really don't know if they work or not, but what the heck...it's a photo forum...cheers...Don

Hi Don,

Wow you REALLY have captured some special late afternoon light there. I really love photos 1 and 2 especially.

Well done!

The dof in the 1st photo, with the duck (or whatever bird it is) in focus is very powerful. I appreciate the "randomness" of the reeds / plants in the front.. keeps me looking longer (e.g. bullrushes to the right).

Photo 2, I like the backlight effect, and the lovely colours in the dreamy oof background. Great bokeh!!

Congrats on these!!! (photo 3 is good, but not quite up to the "absolutely amazing" standards you set in the first two, just imho of course!)

Cheers,

Paul

I second Paul's comments! #2 is exceptional in my opinion also!

You have such a style Iwas pleased to recognize asI saw your first picture, my friend: )

Oh, while also appreciating #2, I should say somehow I found #3 to have aninspiring image!! You might even name it 'Who's going to take out the brightball through the bushes' andhave a chance to win some competition

Beautiful! I especially like the glow on the fluffy bits in #2.

I spend (waste?) lots of time trying to capture the beautiful evening glow on a suitable day, and very, very seldom succeed. Congratulations!

Thanks very much everyone. I really was unsure if these "worked" or not. Especially the 2 scene shots with all the busy bushes etc. There's a lot going on in those 2. Thanks again...I'll keep looking for special light.....cheers...Don
