Default Towards the Campanile

I have taken this shot with my usual tripod and the selftimer.

While the countdown was in progress a girl entered the camera view.
I thought "Oh no, I'll have to take the shot again ! but, no , wait a moment, maybe it would be intersting if she crosses the photo with a 1 sec shutter speed ......3....2..1.Click !

I think I've been lucky !

The overall view :

A bigger one to appreciate details :

This shot is so execellent Sergio. It's truely one of your best shot of all time.

The colors are good and this shot can be set into almost every colortone you want and still be great.

The only thing I would do - to concentrate the viewers eyes is to remove the woman that stand lowest in the shot and the sitting people in the right side.

This way these three people are just sitting at enjoying that woman dance the night away. I wish I were there. Great catch.
the newly washed dress haning on the wire is so Italian. It brings mood to this SCENE!.

I love it! (Could I get the original - and I'll try to remove the folks mentioned above ? Just for the fun of it ?
Or you could give it a try yourself - if you agree on my viewings!

I agree on your viewings.
The original shot is already in your mailbox, but I'll try myself as well.

This turned out slight different, but this is what I would make of it!

I won't tell you what I did, you have to guess!

Maestro, looks like you have painted my shot !
Awesome look !

Here's my guess :
I think u have used a technique I have never used before.
1) Optional. A little desaturation of the all shot.
2) Sponge tool (desaturation mode) with big brushes (100-200-300 in the original shot 2200x1700).
3) A great artistic touch !
4) The girl : dodge tool brush with maybe some sponge tool brush (saturation mode)
5) Something else : don't know. Looks like you have sharpened the image and then applied a little horizontal motion blur.

I was remembering a pretty lady climbing down the stairs in a hot summer night of a sunny village.
The mood your artwork conveys is completly different.
Maybe a little bit of haze or fog would be good for that.

Wonderful work !

Thanks Sergio - I also think it became much better now - but a different shot as you stated. It's the good thing with having a great shot - you can add just the mood you like.

You're right about no. 1 and 5!

You know - I improvise a lot - do thing, undo them untill I'm satisfied. I am with your shot now! I dont write anything down or record them...this is the fun of it. Improvise!

Do you want the original....
