Default Isole Tremiti - San Nicola : A backdoor view

Here's two shots of San Nicola Island, one of the four island named Isole Tremiti located in the south of Italy.

San Nicola is an ancient village build on top of the rock.

Both shots have been taken from the rear side of the village.

Sergio,

From personal standpoint, the second photo has greater impact probably because those rocks have so much character.
The scond photo, the close-up of the structure while good doesn't capture my attention as much as the structure atop the limestone cliffs.

I agree with you, Selvin.

Hpoto: e' stato molto carino da parte tua riportare quello che ha detto la tua ragazza in italiano. Con l'augurio che Venere possa realizzare il suo sogno, ciao , Sergio.

Great shots Sergio. I agree with most here, your country is proberbly the most beautyfull in Europe. France is nice too, but the culture has so much more to offer. The distance between these cultural treasures a not very far from each other. North and south are like two different countries IMO.
The problem with shooting in Italy, is that i.e castles like the ones you show here, are on top of some really big cliffs. You then has to have something to set the size in perspective - like boats. You did that fine in the first shot. It's really easy to see how big this is compared to the small boats in the water.

I got carries away there, didn't I!

hehe
I like both shots. Imagine...a castle built out on the cliff there. Just think of the people bringing out the bricks to that place.....
