i did mate but was too busy and too much money to park for just a few mins of pics.

may head back up in the coming weeks to see if they still charge in winter, or park further away near a bridge and walk back down river

You can get a National Trust membership for around 75 pound a year,
that's for two adults and two kids.

That gives you free parking and entry to any National Trust property in the UK.

Well worth it in my opinion.

Never get stuck for anywhere to go and works out about 1 pound 45 pence a week.

The first picture's really striking - at first I thought it looked like somewhere in central Australia or maybe Africa near the Kalahari Desert. I guess it was the rocks.

By accident while looking for something else, I just came across this image of my children at Brimham Rocks in 2004. My wife was singing in nearby Ripon Cathedral at the time.

Only 2.8 years, and they're both young adults now. I like the way centuries (millennia?)of gritstone erosion and decades of tree growth both illustrate the direction of wind on t'moors.

I hope it inspires Reanimator & Baz to go back & take some more of their excellent pictures. Near enough for a 'Nice Day Out' in summer, surely, Reanimator!
