Very interesting rock formations, they look as if they are growing along with the surrounding plants.

Inspiring place to shoot, indeed! ...and these K10D's are like colour filters, picking up any tone availablein the scene : )Still, I thoughtsome sharpening (20-30%)and a little highlight recovery would work here since I find thesky a bit much bright as to distract from the subject.

Agreed it dose look better with muskets edit. And yes it is an inspiring place to shoot or just to run around pretending to be kids again. Thanks for the welcome musket.

its actualy Brimham Rocks ;-)

great place to wander around but a swine to get to from me as no roads go direct and i have to zig zag



anyway here is a shot i took last year, give a sense of scale, to the extremeright near horizonis just visible the american early warning station, menworth hill with its ball shaped radar

i wish i lived closer so could get there more often. i have set off a few times and got 1/2 way when weather as changed for the worse so returned home

cant rememeber exactly but its either a 3 or 4 shot stitch

Next time you could take a detour to fountains abbey; it's not to far away from Brimham rocks and is a great place to get some architectural shots. I live about 30 miles away from them and often go to both places in the same day. It makes for a great day out.

i did mate but was too busy and too much money to park for just a few mins of pics.

may head back up in the coming weeks to see if they still charge in winter, or park further away near a bridge and walk back down river
