Which village, please? I might well know it; it looks familiar. I've explored most
interesting routes over the Pennines in my time. The last picture isso evocative of
the landscape, it almost hurts.

If you tell us, we can zoom in these days on Google Maps! Everyone looking at these
pictures should at least take a trip over the Trans-Pennine M62 on their UK holidays,
and preferably take a detour over the moors.


It's curious how the power poles are prominent in each picture. I worked for the
Electricity Industry for many years, and had many friends in YEB (Yorkshire Electricity
Board).
Born & bred in Sheffield, myself, before emigration to Wales.

the village is called bolster moor, next bigger village is golcar, its only a couple of miles from the m62 and scamonden, famous for the big bridge and dam

if u pan left the town of huddersfield is about 3 miles away and i live almost straight ahead down in the valley..............hope that helps

#1 & #2 look surreal, while #3 looks other-worldly.
