Took a drive yesterday a few hours northeast to see some of the lighthouses along the shore of Lake Michigan. I've seen them in the warm weather, but never in winter. I was very happy when I arrived in South Haven, Michigan, and even happier when I made it out to the light and back without falling into the freezing lake!

Oh, such a great photograph. Seems we don´t have to go to the outer space fo find a planet where it´s cold enough. It is not hard to imagine a planet with such cold all around the .....

On the other hand they would probably not build such "fragile" constructions

Man,that is an amazing shot. I don't believe thatI have ever seen anything that looked so frozen. Also, it is nice andcrisp .

It's interesting that I didn't really notice the cold until I was heading back to the car - too involved in the beauty.
