Taken early yesterday morning. The temp read -18 celcius as I was heading south out of Calgary. Not far out of the city the highway crosses the Bow River with a vast open land usually covered in mist from the river.

Wouldn't you know it....I had my camera gear with me so I couldn't help but pull over to get this.

Great loolking picture but are you sure that is Fog? At -18c that is -0.4 degs f, you would think that the Fog would be frozen solid.:GThanks for braving the cold for so the rest of us could stay warm.

Thanks for the comments from everyone.

Calicajun, the only reason in this valley there is so much fog or mist is because it is being created by the river as the flowing water is warmer than the air. In this particular valley, the mist was just everywhere.

I did believe you that it was fog, though I was wondering what was creating the fog in temps that low, thanks for explaining it to me. Still as I said before -18c (-0.4f) is just too darn cold for me to want to go out shooting.
