Default Sunset Crater National Monument

This is a pic I took vacationing near Flagstaff in my home state of AZ. Several people have told me it's good, but I dunno...I took it with my Nikon CoolPix 800, so it's only 2 megapixels.

I might play with the saturation or contrast. Something that brings out the color of the ground. The onctrast between the closer red'ish hill and the background blue could be very interesting.

Thanks for the suggestions. I did play with the contrast a bit, along with some other stuff (it's been a while, I don't remember exactly what), but I'll definitely try working with the saturation.

Try taking the same shot at sunrise. The light will be different and the texture and color of the ground may be better brought out without having to resort to PS.

lol, I would try that, but I live a couple hundred miles away from the place, so I doubt it'll happen any time soon. Good suggestion though, it makes sense...I think.... :?:
