The weather is kind of mis-behaving here in DC so instead of shooting on an overcast and rainy day I decide to do this without the daylight:

These are both wonderful and unique, NHL. Not too many can probably say that about theirD.C. cherry blossam images! Definitely POTD material...

-> It was quite fun: Putting the camera on long exposure and 'painting' the blossoms manually with the pair of flashes until the effect is about right - God bless digital camera as you can throw away the bad ones! :lol::-):G

Terrific shots, the first reminds me of the movie 'The day the earth stood still'

with the flying saucer flying past the monument......................musket.
