A lovely place, but last winter the lock gates just below where I'm standing for this photo were smashed to bits by a storm, and those gates are huge!

Stranded boats being your signum, I would like to see a photo book from you with the title, something like

Bude Harbour

Tide in Devon

My dream house and destination for the weekend. Like the lighting, panoramic framing, and the overall pleasant tone.

Great shot, nice colors also, that must of been some storm to smash the gates, did the hpuse get damaged by the storm?

I don't know if the house was damaged, but yes it must have been some storm to shift those gates as they're absolutely massive - constructed from some of the largest oak timbers I think I've ever seen. There's a short news article about it here: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/cornwall/7292413.stm.

Thanks for the comments folks, John.
