going through more of my photos from my trip, just processed these using Photomatix, and am quite pleased with the results... though at the rate i'm going, my walls will be absolutely covered in pretty short order!!:O

It is a wonderfully photogenic place, but it must also be technically very difficult to get it just right. The dynamic range looks huge and the sun must be at the right angle for only a very short time. Really nice work.

How many images did you use for your HDR processingin Photomatix? I've never really got decent results using Photmatix - I find the colours really oversaturated on the ones I tried.

thanks, Ollie... yes, the dynamic range is extreme in places. i used a 3 shot bracket, +/- 1 stop for these.

i agree, at times Photomatix oversaturates the results, but you can easily control that with the sliders in the process, or by simply reducing the saturation in the HDR image till it looks right using Photoshop or even Irfanview.
