My wife and I just got back from our first visit to Hawaii, and perhaps our biggest surprise at the island of Oahu was the variety of landscapes we saw. Some of them were expected...the obligatory shot of the beach where the famous scene in "From Here to Eternity" was filmed

There was the expected splendor of Kaneohe Bay

And long stretches of pristine beach

But, I was struck by how much of Oahu's coastline was extremely rugged

I even caught one beautiful Hawaiin sunset over the aptly named Sunset Beach

However, my favorite landscape I photographed the entire time was just sitting in my son's back yard, looking up at the Ko'ola Mountains

Beautiful pictures, Paul. Especially like the strong sea punishing the shore line, and of course, your own favourite, the last one, with the low clouds about to embrace the mountain top
