I quite liked the symmetry in your first picture

. Still it looks a little dull to me! Checking the histogram at Levels and then a little Curves adjustment would do, imo. You might even acquire quite a pop up by exposure blending but that might not be necessary here! anyway, I attachedone in smallersize. Hope you don't mind : )Oh, perhaps I should write these lines in smaller fonts, since some may only consider the criticismdisregarding the appreciation part ; )

Symmetry is a very powerful compositional element. One can always leave a few millimeters for the sake of freedom and for the viewer to correct, thereby making the viewer feel like a co-creator
