Veryeye pleasing image by the use of exposure control against the setting sun whose (rule of the thirds!) trace on the sea tastefully catches the waves from the boaters : )

Thanks for your positive comment! The other "rule" I had to follow is to be patient and take a lot of shots. I was there 40 minutes as the sun sank lower, hoping for that desired combination of the angle of the sun, the wind to die enough to smooth out the waves on the water and a single boat in just the right place in the composition to leave a perfect wake in its passing. 50 or so shots later I got pretty much what I wanted. That is very cool, I hadn't noticed those clouds stairstepping upward. That's one of the great thing about sharing pictures, having aspects of a shot that we might have overlooked pointed out. Thanks for that great insight. Angie
