Nice picture Frank!

I don't know what im doing wrong, but whenever I have tried to take a picture of the moon it never seems to turn out right and is always way over expossed and the colouring is way off....hmmm Maybe I should try playing with the white balance setting for my camera and see if that changes anything given that I still use the auto mode.

Either way, I love the picture!

Fantastic picture! My shot of the moon never turn out half that good. Maybe it's because my zoom is only half as long...

When I take pictures of the moon. Im usually always shooting with a shutter of about 1/500th or 1/350th even though the camera wants 1/8th or whatever. With my Sigma it was at 400mm at f5.6 1/500th I believe? or 1/350th and came out just right with ISO 200/400

I cant remember the exact settings, but I remember it being a crazy shutter speed at night...

Wow, that fast of a shutter speed  hmmm.... Well I think I may head on out to the backyard tonight to have a try with some settings and see what I can come up with. Wish me luck!
