one of my images of downtown Seattle at sunset is gonna be used for a postcard by one of the larger postcard/calendar publishing companies in WA!

it's not a lot of money, only $70, but having my work out there on postcard stands in a city the size of Seattle is still pretty darn exciting!! and one more little bit to add to my "credentials"... :G

here's the image they want to use...

Hey! Nice going Rocky. Great shot. Makes me want to get some fried clams at Ivar's on the warf. Man, it's been 30 years, is it still there?

Big Congrats,

Steve

Hi Squirl

Congrat's on this one my friend! A fine photo and well deserved to make an official post card of your home area.

I'd love to see the full size version, there is a lot of detail in those buildings etc.

The mountain is well positioned and adds that unmistakable feel of Seattle with the space needle too.

thanks, Bahadir and Paul... this is sort of the quintessential photo of Seattle, and i was fortunate enough to hit on a day when there were no clouds obscuring the mountain. i stayed there, as i recall, from about 4:30 in the afternoon until after 8 PM, snapping photos as the sun went down and the city lit up...
