What a difference 10 days in Kansas makes! Right before Christmas Milford Lake was largely covered with a thin ice layer due to a couple of weeks of cold temps. There was just enough snow blown around on the ice to make it interesting. I posted a picture of the ice and snow covered lake and rocks.
Now the ice is gone, it was almost 60 degrees today and the sunset in one cove was lovely. Can't wait to see what next week will bring!

It was a rare calm day which made great reflections.

In the summer this area would be full of boaters, swimmers and evening picnic enthusiasts, but it was deserted and very quiet tonight.

It was a lovely way to spend 45 minutes, but after this one last shot I made myself head for home.

And a good feeling this is, isn't it?

After such acolourful sunset has been successfully recorded, one knows that ones Memory card holds some interesting shots and ones soul has been replenished with positive impressions that only Mother Nature can supply!

Very nice shots, spedangie - I love the last one specially! Kansas must be a great place to live in.

You are a lucky man, longing for the next week. Tranquility is the word to describe your pictures. Must be Venus reflecting the light from the sun?
