Interesting. I might have tried (if possible) taking the picture from the other side of the road. I think having the planted field be more prominent would have been nice. On the other hand, it would have changed the angle on the mountain/hill in the distance (making it more covered) which might not have worked. Hard to tell.

You nailed the exposure, though. Very well done.

Kanji,

As noted the exposure is great.

And since you aksed, I have to agree that the composition isn't as great as it could have been. In my opinion, the asphalted section on the right of the road really takes away from the eye focussing on the winding road leading between the mountain and the field. With the road leading the eye and without the distraction of the patch of asphalt I think you'd have had a great shot rather than a good one.

And Kanji, having taken loads of shots like these I sometimes kick myself for not having tried another angle while I was there.

The notion of looking for different angles reminds me of something a professional recently told me: when you find a scene you love or that intrigues you, exhaust every angle before moving on to something else. We who have digital cameras should certainly make a habit of this since we're not wasting any film.

At the cost of making an odd analogy, we should make love to the scene.

Nice colours and wonderful landscape.
However, as selvin first pointed out, that asphalt is definitly breaking all of the magics of your shot.

I post a roughly edited version just to figure out how great this shot would have been :
