Default Light painting using flashlight

I set the camera on bulb and infinity using a 12mm lens. Then I painted the area with a flashlight.
Comments and questions?

So, the 'innovative self' strikes : ) Such a peaceful corner indeed to enjoy with home made wine, Caryl...I'd darken the foreground so as to prevent it from distracting from the ancient-looking artifacts (ah, the bigger of which is beautifully backed by flowers) and the fascinating silhouettes against the parliament blue at the background. The pine could even be clonned out, imho.

Cheers!

Ive been thinking about doing flashlight painting for so long now. But my camera only has a 4 second exposure time max. My criticism is that it just looks like you used your flash here. There are strong shadows which you should have eliminated with some more painting. Its not what Im expecting when I think of what is involved. I guess when I think about it, you have just replaced your flash with a flashlight, instead of actually using your flashlight like a brush and painting in the scene.

Thank you both for commenting. I do think it looks like a flash but i did paint back and forth. I tried it just for fun but it is not a technique i would use often. I tried a different method in the people section.
