Default Moraine Lake, Alberta

Went out to see Moraine Lake a week or so ago with my wife and a buddy from Holland. He's never seen such beautiful country and longs to come back for another visit.

Sure littlejohn, in ps, I ran the photo through mono chrome then added color through various color filters then desaturated the image until I was happy with how it looked color wise. Increased "white" and "black" balance through levels. Some burning and doging was done and that's it. Glad you liked it.

If I can be pedantic for a moment, those appear to be alluvial fans, not moraines. Striking and effective image though. Would you please post the original, unedited image, for comparison?

Certainly. This image consists of 27 portrait shots stitched using ps cs4.

The only editing on this one was one pass through noiseware.

I'm sure your correct, but the lake is actually called Moraine Lake.
