i like this. has a very wistful feel to it... a little more color in the trees would really make the photo "pop"...

Yes, you are right. Colours seem stronger in the reflection. I'll give it a try. Thanks for viewing

Torgny

How about this? (Colour burn at the top)

shadokachr,

Thank you for your kind words. Never knew before there was a small lake aside my usual trail. The dogs brought me to it.

Cheers

Ah, now the saturation of color is more balanced with the reflection. Very nice shot as one can feel the peaceful quiet. I only wish I could see to the tops of the trees.

Yes,

Lens 55-250 @ 55mm. The bushes behind made it impossible to step back. Generally speaking. Houses and trees should be represented in their entirety from top to bottom. Always have to remind myself about that

Yes, cutting the heads and/or feet from people, trees and houses is less than desireable

Also, I think, when there is a large water surface, the viewer should be offered, if possible, a decent platform to stand at. Looking back at my pictures there are too many pictures making the viewer drown, and no lifesaver in sight

The unaltered .jpeg developed from RAW. What I should have done was to turn the camera 90 degrees- Don't remember why I didn't.

Wonderful looking picture, do like the second version a bit more than the first.
