Ah, there doesnt have to be favorites. There are no prizes. Of course, I do have one, and its #5 because of the nice rich colors and contrasts between the background and the yellow/brown reeds. Id like it even more if it were a nice blue sky. I will get that next time.

IMO even a blown white sky would be better than those dark-grey and ferocious-looking ones. Try to ease up a bit on the Highlight-Smoothing, something like 30 or above to 50 or at least not all the way down towards 5 or so (which gives you the dark sky)....

This might just give you a lighter sky. Once you have a white sky, you could always try to "fill" it with light-blue in the graduation tool, as you did when you saved my blown sky in http://forums.steves-digicams.com/cr...see-elfes.html , remember?

I'm over critical these days, but I have some problems with horizons, halos, sky textures, etc. Bah. Donít pay me attention.

You got me Walter. Thats exactly what I did wrong. Its that Highlight Smoothing. I got carried away. Im fixing it as we type.

Well here is the first one finished. I spent more time on this than Mikey did on the Sistine Chapel ceiling.
