The G1 is the camera Ive been wanting. Just waiting for the price to drop since the introduction of the GH1. Nice shot Walter. I like it. How do you find the camera so far? How is it in low light?

I have posted some night-shots here: http://forums.steves-digicams.com/pa...g1-norway.html

Its early days yet, Bynx, only had it for a week - but from what I have seen so far, its a fantastic pice of equipment. I just fell in love with it.

BTW. In the US the prices seem to have dropped - see the panasonic - leica dslr - forum!

Oh, great photo and colours like the dia-chromatic of old. That sure is a delicious camera. Was in a camera store yesterday and "tested" the red one. GF1 it was. Feels great, looks great

Curious what you can do with it. And so handy. Fits in a jacket pocket. Find some protection for the .....

Walter, can your future posts be any better than you've presented in the past -- with your new equipment? Exciting prospect.

Thank you, Torgny.

Yes, its a nice camera and you should be careful, because once you touch and fondle it, it will stay in your mind and torture you until you go back to the store to have a second "feel / fondle" - that's when you are sold.....

I think the red examples are going to be sold at a cutdown-price very soon.

I don't know, Walter - but I surely will try! At least it will give me new incentive to go out and picture new places and capture scenes that I would have given up on with my old P&S.

Trying to archive will bring new enthusiasm I hope.

Thank you for your kind words.
