Morning Under the Pier

Taken this morning as the weather man promised 6 foot swells for the surfing crowd.

I like how the pillars take my eyes away, almost to infinity - and then I come back and the lonely surfer catches my eye again! Nicely done (just my two cents worth) :)

Great picture. You "loose" yourself in the "arcade". Quite relieving. There is a story about an artist who made a painting and then stepped into it. He never came back. Want to do the same with a photo

Photoshop CS4 (and 3?) has a function, "vanishing point". Suppose it takes a lot of internal memory

And the colours, tastefully withheld (?) are great. This is, to me, one of your top ten pier pictures

Oh, great. Looked at the picture again and saw a fantastic thing. There is a set of imaginative stone stairs in between the rows. Leading upwards. Makes the picture even more worthy of a long contemplation

Thanks, Maggo and Torgny. I've taken several shots from this vantage point in the past, but this is my favorite.

This one gives the expression: "Vanishing point" a new meaning.

Perfection of composition, Walter - Well done!

I can understand that you are satisfied with this picture Walter_C. My eyes just want too keep on stretching out and beyond the peer, only thing stopping them is the lonely surfer.

Very nice.
